Centro Announces Board of Directors

CHICAGO, IL – May 10, 2012 – Centro, the leading provider of intelligent media logistics software and services for agencies, publishers, and advertisers, today announced its board of directors to include Andrew Swinand, Eric Byunn, Leland Putterman and Mike Brochu. The members were selected based on their wide range of talent in leadership, finance, technology and marketing.

Centro’s newly elected board includes:

Andrew Swinand, Founding Partner, Abundant Venture Partners and former President, Global Operations, Starcom Mediavest Group

Regarded as an innovative leader by the industry, Andrew Swinand was previously president at Starcom MediaVest Group, where he led global operations, the agency’s human experience network, and the B2B and technology practice. He has been recognized by Advertising Age as a Media Maven, Mediaweek magazine as one of the Industry’s “Power 50” and Media Magazine’s “Rising Star”, and was inducted into the American Advertising Federation Hall of Achievement in 2008. Andrew proudly served his country as a platoon leader in the U.S. Army after receiving his degree from the Wharton School of Business.

Eric Byunn, Partner, Head of Software, FTV Capital

Eric Byunn has more than 14 years of experience in venture capital, technology and management consulting. Currently, he serves as the head of software at FTV Capital, a multi-stage growth equity firm that invests in innovative, high-growth companies. Prior to joining FTV Capital, Eric was director of online services at myCFO, a start-up wealth management firm. He joined myCFO from AOL, where he held several roles including management of Netscape’s Personal Finance Channel. Prior to the acquisition of Netscape by AOL, Eric led product management for the Netscape Navigator browser. Eric received an A.B., summa cum laude, from Harvard University, where he focused on economics and computer science, and an MBA from Stanford University.

Leland Putterman, CEO, Acorn Systems

Leland brings extensive experience in managing large organizations that deliver software solutions to corporate customers. Leland came to Acorn from BMC Software where he served as an executive officer and vice president of global marketing. Prior to BMC, Leland worked for Oracle in various senior management positions, including vice president of product marketing. He was also responsible for launching Oracle Energy, a multi-million dollar division focusing on the upstream sector of the energy industry. Leland sits on the board of Digital Consulting and Software Services and has served on several other software company boards. He received a B.A. in Economics from Princeton University.

Mike Brochu, Past President and CEO, GMI

Mike Brochu is a seasoned technology executive who brings more than 20 years of senior-level experience and operational excellence. He most recently served as the president and CEO of GMI, a provider of technology enabled solutions for global market research. He has held the CEO post at multiple major technology companies, including Loudeye Corporation, Primus Knowledge Solutions, Inc., and Sierra On-Line, Inc. Mike was named Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2000. Mike is a certified public accountant and has a B.B.A. in accounting and finance from the University of Texas at El Paso.
